Prints Charming

We're very excited to have some new ToDryFor publicity material, created by graphic designer extraordinaire, HelloWilson.

We'd been thinking about creating a brochure for sometime, having received requests from numerous people who didn't have internet connection but were still in desperate need of some lovely new tea towels.

HelloWilson painstakingly colour-coded around 70 of the tea towel designs featured on ToDryFor and magically transformed them into what we think is a masterpiece of print! She also thought she'd notch up some postcards to boot - hey presto, we have lots of super stylish new promo material to give away. Do feel free to request a brochure for yourself or friends and family!

Do you need any super-swish design work doing?

Fancy a cabbage with your tea towel, sir?

We had a great day out yesterday, running a [fruit and vegetable] tea towel stall at Midcentury.Modern. We weren't sure if our matching ToDryFor aprons would be a bit OTT, but now we don't really want to take them off!

We met lots of amazing people, including the wonderful Ben Javens, the delightful (and very funny) Sara Fowles, and the lovely Ruth Green.

It was so much fun chatting to people (it's very rare that we ever get to leave Tea Towel Towers) and now we get to eat cauliflower soup for the next 5 weeks! Woo hoo!

ps - our super special tea towel bunting was very kindly made for us by haberdashery queen Fliss Russell - thanks Fliss!
pps - more about our exciting new brochures tomorrow...

Rob Ryan at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

We were lucky enough to be invited along to the opening of Rob Ryan's amazing new exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Wednesday evening. Officially opened by Sir Paul Smith, the exhibition showcases Rob's work to date, including the beautiful and intricate original paper cut (below) that he reworked for our ToDryFor Heaven tea towel.

His iconic birds were perched in and around the gallery space, including this little chap on a hand rail:

And here's Sally, posing in front of a poignant print:

The Rob Ryan exhibition is on until the 21st February 2010, so you still have quite a bit of time to visit. Make it a date!

More new tea towels to mop up your drool with!

Oof it's been a busy week, but we've still found time to add a couple more new tea towel designs to the site.

First up, a tea towel with an eco-friendly message from the lovely Mary Fellows:

Waste Not Want Not is priced at £9.50 and is perfect for all your hippy friends, or just for people who like to eat a lot of food (it's always a good excuse)!

We'd also like to welcome a new designer to ToDryFor; Repeat Repeat's amazing 'Fetch' tea towel is now available and is priced at £8.95! Unfortunately it doesn't come with a free sausage dog...

We'll soon be adding more new tea towels in time for Christmas, including some spectacular sardines, some beautiful beach huts and some cracking caravans!

Midcentury.Modern
Sunday 13th November, 10am – 4pm (£6 entrance)

It would be great to see you there! We'll be the ones in matching aprons surrounded by vegetables (don't ask)!

Cats in Crockery! Oh My!

We're so excited to announce the arrival of our new, exclusive Gemma Correll tea towel featuring cats in crockery! We're sure Gemma needs no introduction, but if you fancy reading a bit more about her work, why not check out her biography...

Tea Time is the fourth in the ToDryFor range of artist-commissioned towels. It's £9.95 and it's in stock at ToDryFor now! Meow-wow-wow!
